Dr. J Alexander, Retd IAS – Adviser
Dr. J Alexander is a retired senior bureaucrat and Advisor to Chemm Finance Limited and the chairman of Chemmanur Jewellers Ltd. He is an M.A. in English Language & Literature and a Phd. in Philosophy and taught English Literature in Kerala University. He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1963 and led an illustrious career. He held a number of important positions in his long career, including the positions of Commissioner of Bangalore City Corporation, Chairman of Karnataka State Finance Corporation, Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka and Secretary to Government of India for Social, Women and Child Welfare Development. He also served as Member of Legislative Assembly from Bharathi Nagar Constituency in Bangalore and as Minister for Tourism, Government of Karnataka. He was also associated with United Nations as Consultant for Agriculture Organisation while working as the Chairman of Central Coir Board.

Mr. Anoop Chemmanur – Adviser
Mr. Anoop Chemmanur is the Managing director of Chemmanur Group of Companies and Advisor to Chemm Finance Limited. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in business management from Christ College, Bangalore. He also has a degree in Gemmology from the Gemological Institute of America, California. Being a member of the Chemmanur family, he was exposed to the intricacies of business at an early age. Since his college days he has been associated with various industries in order to gain knowledge and experience. After completing his studies he ventured to set up a company for trading in Diamonds. He has an experience of more than nine years in the Jewellery industry at the national and international level. He is also one of the directors of Chemmanur Academy.
